Mickey Bears are
six inches tall. They come in a variety of
synthetic furs, alpaca, wool and German Mohair. All
have German glass eyes and are stuffed with
polyester fiber fill weighted with steel shot. What
differentiates a Mickey Bear from any other bear?
It is the curious side tilt of the head, a
delightful pot belly and an elongated snout.
On
the left is the original Mickey Bear, the
first bear I ever designed. I like him so much that
I added a wonderful sketch of him, done by
Patti
Whisken, to my logo. To see what a
really wonderful job she did, click on her drawing
in the top left hand corner of this page.
Mickey
is a curious bear. His momma is always telling him
to be very careful, not to go too far into the woods
alone, but he just can't help himself. He loves to
explore and find things,
especially crawly things. Lady bugs are his
favorites. He has a big crick in his neck from
watching them crawl all over
his arms. His momma says if he's not careful, he'll
get stuck like that and have to go through the rest
of his life looking at everything sideways. Mickey
thinks she's just being silly. Mom's are like that
you know! |
