As part of the Jewish community of North Carolina, we would like to bring to your attention the Judaic art collection housed at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. The Museum is one of only two art museums in the nation with a collection of Jewish ceremonial art. The ritual objects, often made of precious metals and embellished with great artistry, are intended to beautify the ceremonies that define Jewish life. More than the expression of a particular faith, these objects address the universal relationship between spiritual belief and artistic imagination. The following is a link to information about the Museum’s Judaic collection: We invite you to visit the museum and the collection whenever you are in Raleigh.
